Just start a family project like “Let’s organize the garage”, or later in the summer – “Let’s do some reading for next school year” and you will find that the kids have plenty to do and are not bored at all.
I was over at a friend’s house a few days after school ended, and one of my other friends called her on FaceTime. One of the first things he said was “I’m borreeed…” So were we. ? So…..we pretty much spend the whole summer bored, until shortly before school starts again. Then when we’re not bored, we’re sad that we have to go back to school soon.
IMPORTANT KID NOTE!!!!!! never say you are bored around your mom or she will say, “oh perfect! you can help me clean the oven so that way you aren’t bored anymore!”
Complaining about being bored IS what kids do to occupy themselves. I did the EXACT same thing.
