A cartoon in honor of America’s National Trail Mix Day.
One time the kids and I ate all the M&Ms out of the trail mix, so we bought a big bag of M&Ms and we dumped it in to replenish. But then we picked out all of THOSE M&Ms too. Why not skip the middle man and just eat the bag of M&Ms straight up? I don’t know. There’s something about eating the M&Ms in trail mix… it just makes them taste better.
The kids wanted to go back to the store and get yet ANOTHER bag of M&Ms to add to the trail mix, but I said no. “We have standards, guys,” I told them. But that was a lie. We have no standards. I was just too lazy to drive to the store. If someone had handed me a big bag of M&Ms, I would have poured those puppies into the trail mix in a heartbeat.
Most trail mix is salty. Maybe M&M’s taste better when they’re lightly salted.
Or when they smell faintly of raisins. Or something like that.
Chris, that’s exactly it.
Why not just buy M&Ms to begin with?
That’s the million-dollar question. Somehow M&Ms recovered from trail mix just seem… better??
Yup. I did that too when I was their age.
Same here. But now my sis is allergic to peanuts, so don’t get that much anymore.
Don’t tell me I replied to my own comment, not realizing it was me?
I love that!
I feel like m&Ms aren’t that great of a candy, but put them next to something healthy and they suddenly seem amazing by comparison. Imagine if they were packaged with broccoli how great they’d be
LOVE the evil face!!
