Me, at the grocery store. I have since looked up ways to stop this from happening, but for a while my glasses were fogging up all the time. I would take them off, but then I had to squint my way through the store, trying to see the items on the shelf. If you waved at me at the store recently, and I just looked lost and confused, now you know why.
? Please share your learned methods! I have yet to figure it out ?
Great cartoon, thank you.
I washed my glasses with soap.
Here’s what I read: “Immediately before wearing a face mask, wash the spectacles with soapy water and shake off the excess,” the study recommends. “Then let the spectacles air dry or gently dry off the lenses with a soft tissue before putting them back on. Now the spectacle lenses should not mist up when the face mask is worn.”
The soapy water creates a “thin surfactant film” that temporarily prevents the surface tension that causes glasses to fog up from the breaths directed upward by face masks, according to the study.
Awesome, I will try it! I actually tried this method after my husband advised me to just wash them with soap. So I washed them with soap, but rinsed and wiped them dry. LOL. Full directions are helpful ???
Thanks for your reply! Stay safe and be well!
Thanks, Abby! You too! : )
I can’t stay two metres apart, Susan, when I can barely SEE!
sew a sleeve for a bendable nose piece onto the mask to make it flush to your nose. paperclips, unbent, or veggie/bread bag ties work.
Clean your glasses with shaving cream. Same method idea as the soapy water. The shaving cream wont leave a film too 🙂
Good one! Thank you!
Thank you!
use these made for swimming. They are made for anti-fog, plus, they’re cheap
