Mask issue

Me, at the grocery store. I have since looked up ways to stop this from happening, but for a while my glasses were fogging up all the time. I would take them off, but then I had to squint my way through the store, trying to see the items on the shelf. If you waved at me at the store recently, and I just looked lost and confused, now you know why.

    • I washed my glasses with soap.

Here’s what I read: “Immediately before wearing a face mask, wash the spectacles with soapy water and shake off the excess,” the study recommends. “Then let the spectacles air dry or gently dry off the lenses with a soft tissue before putting them back on. Now the spectacle lenses should not mist up when the face mask is worn.”

The soapy water creates a “thin surfactant film” that temporarily prevents the surface tension that causes glasses to fog up from the breaths directed upward by face masks, according to the study.

      • Awesome, I will try it! I actually tried this method after my husband advised me to just wash them with soap. So I washed them with soap, but rinsed and wiped them dry. LOL. Full directions are helpful ???

Thanks for your reply! Stay safe and be well!

  1. Clean your glasses with shaving cream. Same method idea as the soapy water. The shaving cream wont leave a film too 🙂

  2. I relate to this comic so much!😅I try to sneak out without a mask but my mom catches me and puts it on again! Love your comics a lot! 🥰
